BMC Introduction
﹛﹛The research of the BMC process began in 1949. In 1955 this was named DMC in Europe. The raw materials used in BMC are similar to the raw materials used in SMC, except that the glass fibers are 3- 12mm instead of 25-50 mm. Materials are mixed with a special horizontal mixer, then extruded. They are cut into pieces by weight and placed into compression molds or injected to form different shapes. The cost of BMC is lower than SMC, and it is mainly used in the applications of electrical panels, switches, microwave dishware, appliances, and recently on automobile front & rear lights.
