About OTG
﹛﹛USB OTG is a new supplement to the USB2.0 specification. It challenges the capability of existing mobile devices and USB peripherals by giving them an added host capability for connection to order USB devices. These new features were needed to upgrades standard USB technology for mobile, peripheral devices and Gateway Bridge. These new features include the additional host capability, smaller connectors, and low power output, which eliminate the current limitation in the USB that requires a PC to act as host.

﹛﹛An OTG-compliant product lets users more easily share files, music, videos or pictures directly with anther portable or desktop devices. This allows users to share content in more unique ways than ever before. USB on-the-go compliant devices allow users to link to other 90% USB devices without requiring the PC to act as the host. This means users can perform such functions as sending photos from a digital camera to a printer, PDA, cell phone; or sending music files from an MP3 player to another portable player, PDA or cell phone.
